For many years I have been working on a database including all persons with the name BIJLMAKERS. At this moment the database has 1663 individuals (in 657 families) but they are not all related. The two biggest “trees” in my database have their roots in the villages Nederweert and Heel. These villages are only 20 km apart, in the province Limburg in The Netherlands. It is possible that these families are related, but the “missing link” has not been found yet, and if it exists it will probably be found before the year 1700. I belong to the Nederweert tree.
Besides these 2 big families, the database contains some other individuals with the same or a very similar name. Several of these are also from the province Limburg, Netherlands and could be related to any of the two bigger families.
How to use the Bijlmakers family tree website
There are several ways to find persons in the website. You can select “Person Index” in the menu to see an alphabetical list of all persons. When you have found a person, click on the link (a number) behind the name.
Another way is to use the search box and type (part of) a name. If one or more names are found you can click on a name to go to the page for that person.
I am looking for data related to these surnames:
Please contact me if you have any genealogical information concerning these names.
My family tree pages on this website were generated in WordPress with the RootsPersona plugin, using a gedcom file which was exported from data I have stored in Legacy 7.5 genealogy software. For living persons the website shows only the name and relationships, but no other personal details.
Start with my grandfather.
